Putting Comic Strips on Your Blog Site

They’re just small jpg files that can really spice up your blog site.  I’m not sure if there are online sites selling comic strips for this purpose, but if you know anyone like a graphics artists or cartoon artist, have them create a cartoon strip for you, scan it, or compose it in any image editing software, and post it as a conspicuous part of your website or blog site.  Humor is always a welcome feature in anything.

Just make sure, it’s really funny and update it regularly especially if it’s a series.  Your blog visitors will love you for it.  Nothing beats a funny strip or even a joke that can make your visitors laugh when they visit your blog.  Try it.

Making Money from Blogs

You’ve probably come across some books and online sites that essay tutorials and easy guides to make money online.  Well, for the most part, there’s a lot of truth in them.  You can make money online though your blogs.  But don’t make your personal blog your jumping platform to it.
Pop up another blog site – one that will showcase your interest and expertise like airline or hotel consultancy, engineering, sports, entertainment, etc.

Anything that you think will interest many other people and drive traffic to your blog .  Once you can show your blog has big enough traffic, have advertisers place ads on your blog by joining online ad programs.  They love sites that have sufficient traffic to see their ads.  That’s where the money will come from.

Keeping Your Website Simple but Stunning

That can be self-contradictory as some of the most stunning websites are the most complex.  They are also the most difficult to load on a typical shared broadband connection.  At the other extreme, you can have the most boring website that loads real fast, with all the information you need right on the front page.

The challenge is really to strike a balance between the two.  That’s what distinguishes a seasoned, sought after and highly paid web developer from the amateur type who may be technically or even artistically equipped to design Flash animated web pages that will never load fast enough.

One easy trick you as a web owner or webmaster can do is to visit as many websites from frequently visited sites as well as award-winnings sites.  Do some reverse engineering by accessing their html or asp codes. Then copy the form and structure.  That’s the best amateur way to get your hands dirty on making a website that really works.

Web Designs That Ensure They Will Never Be Visited

Not everyone can afford to get a professional web designer/developer to put their sites on the net.  And if you’re thinking of offering some service or product from the home or have a fledgling small business starting out an e-commerce site, chances are you’d either be making your own website or getting a college student do one for you.

That’s just fine; there are many software tools that let amateurs generate websites and there are templates online that you can download for free.  Just make sure your site gets noticed and once noticed, that you won’t turn away visitors.  SEO methods will do the work to get your site noticed.  But you could lose your visitors if your web design is not good enough.

That means putting only what matters and what catches the attention on the first page.  Use relevant images and graphics to spice up your page, but sparingly so that it loads fast. Nobody wants to wait for your site to load.  And nobody wants to scroll through a long page to get to what they want.

So don’t put long articles there, just the title and maybe the first paragraph and the rest in the page devoted to the article with links to the other sections. First impression lasts.  That goes for your homepages as well.
